Most-Chopped Players For Week 2 In Guillotine Leagues™️: Ja'Marr Chase, Drake London & More
Jorge Martin uncovered the 10 most chopped players heading into Week 2 for Guillotline Leagues.
Schwack! The guillotine has fallen for the first time, and since you’re reading this, it wasn’t you. Congratulations! You’ve survived, and now comes the really fun part. The best waiver wire there is in fantasy sports.
We can honestly say this because where else can you bid on the players we’re about to lay out for you? Below are the 10 players most chopped across all Guillotine LeaguesTM after Week 1. As with most weeks, there are some players who are there because of injuries. And there are a few who leave you thinking, “He got chopped?” That includes a recent receiving Triple Crown winner.
Remember, it’s a long season. There might be the urge to spend big on a player who is that good. You must ask yourself if a player of equal talent and expected productivity could be available later, as you can see in our fantasy football projections. Then again, there’s the chance that certain players could stick on your roster all the way to the final chop. Those decisions are up to you. Let’s cut to the chase and get into the 10 players who felt the blade the most heading into Week 2.
Week 2 Most-Chopped Players for Guillotine Leagues
1. Kyler Murray | QB | Vikings
When your starting QB gets concussed and knocked from the game after throwing 5 passes and having 1 of them get picked, it’s time to just chalk it up to bad luck. Kyler Murray could miss another week if he does not pass concussion protocol, so if you’re bidding on him, make it a conservative one for him to sit on your bence.
2. Brock Bowers | TE | Raiders
Not the best when the player you took with at worst your second-round pick goes under the knife days before the opening game. Turns our the surgery wasn’t the deepest cut for Brock Bowers. Early reports are that he’d miss a game or two. Even if he just misses this week, it’s hard to do an aggressive bid.
3. A.J. Brown | WR | Patriots
We’re seeing a pattern here with injured players getting chopped. The vibes were so good in New England, with A.J. Brown joining forces with Drake Maye on a ton of deep balls this season. That will have to wait at least until Week 6, as AJB is on the IR and will miss the next four games. The Patriots’ bye is Week 11, so maybe best to pass on him for now.
4. Ja’Marr Chase | WR | Bengals
Ja'Marr Chase is available? Are you kidding me? Yes, these things happen even after the Bengals won, 33-27. Chase saw just 4 targets, catching a pair for 12 scoreless yards. He got his dud out of the way, so now the question is how much to bid on him? The thought has to be that he’ll probably not be available again this season, because he could go on a run of hitting 100 receiving yards and/or scoring a TD or two. Sometimes it pays to be conservative in early Guillotine League bidding. This may not be one of those times.
5. Drake London | WR | Falcons
Like with Chase, Drake London laid an egg with 4 targets, 2 catches for 29 yards. Unlike Chase, London is not catching passes from one of the best QBs on the planet. Cooper Rush was throwing short a lot last week, which is not London’s game. Don’t bid aggressively until later in the season when Michael Penix is healthy and under center.
6. Jaylen Waddle | WR | Broncos
With so much preseason hype after Jaylen Waddle got traded to the Broncos, a top-12 WR season was more expected than seeing him get chopped after Week 1. But the Denver offense looked out of sorts on Monday night in K.C. That’s how quick it can happen in Guillotine Leagues. Bid conservatively, in case this offense takes a little time to gel.
7. Saquon Barkley | RB | Eagles
Is this deja vu all over again? Saquon Barkley was a regular on this list last year, so it’s fitting he’s on it after the first week of the 2026 season. Him getting 83 yards on 15 carries does not feel like a choppable offense, but here we are. Barkley is still the RB8 in our fantasy football rankings heading into a tough matchup with the Titans’ run D. Still, be ready to bid up for Barkley.
8. Omarion Hampton | RB | Chargers
Anyone drafting Omarion Hampton around the 1-2 turn had to hope/expect more than 12 carries for 43 yards and a score. A fumble relegated him to 8.3 points, with nary a target. We still believe in a Mike McDaniel running game, with Hampton getting 75% of the rush attempts. Hampton is another player who could see quite a few fake FAAB dollars land on him.
9. Colston Loveland | TE | Bears
Wait, this must be a mistake. How do the Bears score 59 points and Colston Loveland is on your Guillotine League waiver wire? Must be a mistake. Checks notes … he got 2 targets and ZERO receptions?! Did he get hurt? No. Abducted by aliens? Nope. No way to explain it, similar to Chase above. This could be Loveland’s one down week all season. He’s still a top-3 talent in what could be the best offense in the NFL. Bid accordingly.
10. Matthew Stafford | QB | Rams
The reigning MVP was held without a touchdown pass while the Rams sleepwalked through a 27-7 opening loss to the 49ers in Australia. That didn’t happen all last season when Matthew Stafford passed for 4,707 yards and 46 TDs. He still has Puka Nacua and Davante Adams to throw to in an explosive offense. If you can get him on a conservative bid to upgrade at the QB position, it’s worth the investment.
